samskrta sangha (संस्कृतसङ्घः) is a cultural body of the students, staff and faculty of IISc. The sangha which has been an active body for more than three decades, aims at promoting a better understanding and awareness of Sanskrit Language, Indian Culture and Heritage.
The main activities of the Sangha are in the following three areas:
- Samskrt Language
- Samskrt Literature
- Indian Culture and Traditions
The Sangha conducts talks and lectures by eminent scholars and professionals, spoken Samskrt workshops, literary competitions and cultural programmes. Please go through the current list of Activities by clicking here.

Upcoming events
संस्कृत भाषाप्रवेशः - Written and Spoken Sanskrit Workshop
Written and Spoken Sanskrit classes, modeled on the basis of a workbook भाषाप्रवेशः, is being conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays for about 3 months, starting from 11th February 2010.
Evening 6-7:30 PM at CAD Lab Seminar Hall, Aerospace Department.
